Community Profiles


Airdrie Meadows ~ located between the downtown shopping district and the Edmonton Trail commerical sector.  There are 1490 residents in this community.  Mature trees and older homes.


Bayside ~ is one of the newest developments in Airdrie and it is experiencing fast growth.  Number of houses grew 59 percent in 2004.  The unique project incorporates a maritime theme complete with canals with some lots featuring private docks. 

Big Springs~ East side of Airdrie where you'll find homes built in different phases ranging from homes 25 years old to newer homes that are  only two years old. The great appeal to this area is the walking paths and access to our East Lake Recreational Centre. 

The Canals ~ Unique canals system runs through this community.  Close to schools and pathways.  Single homes to mixed density homes are blended into this growning community.

Channelside ~ Single family homes are found in this new community with homes well over $450,000 offering backlanes and a neat opportunity to have a separate garage with additional living space above.  Allowing for rental property or a second title ownership.  This type of property price range is well over $750,000.00 range.

Coopers Crossing ~ is the most southerly neighborhood of Airdrie.  Picturesque hills and fields.  A well planned linear park system throughout this community sets the lifestyle most desired by families.  The new estate area planned will feature homes with triple garage and stately curb appeal.  Estate Homes - Multi-Million Dollar Babies in here.  Curb Appeal should run a show in this community.  No old broken down cars found here. 

Downtown ~ has only 451 residents as the majority of the area is commerical.  Some Re-Zoning happening right now, with hope that the restrictions on what type of business can be here.

Edgewater ~ a subdivision located between main street and Highway #2 just south of our downtown.  The 1833 residents here enjoy walking distance to Nose Creek Park and two public schools.  There are 579 dwellings in Edgewater.

The Fairways ~ is located on the very northwest edge of the city and borders the Woodside Golf course.  Many of the new homes back onto the golf course.  (Bungalows are very popular on the golf course) There are just over 317 dwellings in the area.  The Fairways is close to two schools, the Monklands Soccer Park and Bethany Care Centre.  Single Family Homes run in the low $400K and up.  Wider Streets with a central play park for the little ones. 

Jensen ~ is another well established area north of the downtown and east of Main Street.  There are only 398 homes in the community and plenty of mature trees.  Residents enjoy close proximity ot the tri-school site and the Town and Country Centre. 

King's Heights ~ Single Family and Mixed Density homes with commerical blending in on the border of the community.  Found on the east side of Airdrie.  The next phase is under way with brisk sales of many of the homes.  This community is selling out fast.  NEXT LOTS ARE HERE, starting at $107,900 and up.  Walk-out lots, back lanes, prices will range from the mid $300K and up.  A recently pre-owned home just sold for over $625K - just gorgeous.


Luxstone ~ is a brand new community still in development.  This master planned community of over 100 acres offers a variety of housing choices, all nestled around a carefully landscaped nature park with walking trails, water pond, soccer field and children's playground.  When complete, Luxstone will have 600 homes, both single and townhomes. New townhomes are selling for over $270,000.00 and homes over over $350,000.00  - A seniors project is now selling offering a wide range of style and service.

Mattamy ~ The Owner of this home builder name came from his two kids.  Matthew & Amy - very family geared home builder.  Having a strong hold in Ontario, this New Community will be on the cutting edge for Western's to adopt.  Several homes to come our way with lots being wider but not a deep.  Garages will be to the side of the home.  The Re-Zoning is going on right now for this community.  Stay Tuned.

MacKenzie Pointe ~ is a recently developed condo development featuring apartments style condos and town homes.  There are over 548 residents with one more apartment/condo under development.  The last phase is under construction with occupancy fall 2006.

Meadowbrook ~ is the second most populated community on the east side of the city.  With 2542 residents and 772 homes, they are also one of the most connected with 81% of the households actively using the internet.  Meadowbrook is 100% single-family dwellings, surrounded by walking paths and plenty of green space. The convenience of shopping and our new recreational centre make this community very popular area to live in.

Old Towne ~ is directly north of downtown and has 374 homes.  As its name implies, it is an older more established part of the city.  Close promximity to shopping and schools and bike paths.  Homes are generally smaller bungalows averaging in 1081 sq.ft. Prices are reflective in value due to the lot sizes. * some inner city lots do come up for sale from time to time.

Prairie Springs ~ West of Cooper's Crossing near the new Rockyview School Division Building you will find Prairie Springs.  I sit in the Show Home Parade on Prairie Springs Cres.  Good Quality builders with Great Floorplans to please anyone. (Loreck Homes 912-1992 or 827-4663)  Give me a ring. Mix of Single family homes LOTS are Available prices start at $125,900 to $158,900

Ravenswood ~ Brand New Community just on the east side of town beside King's Heights.  This area is so new, that the area plan is still before the City of Airdrie. **the Developer has invited their own builders to enter the show home parade with only ONE local Airdrie builder. 


Ridgegate ~ very established family community wiht 376 residences.  This neighborhood enjoys the Nose Creek winding through it and many homes back onto the park.  Great location to watch the "Canada Day" fireworks!! 

Reunion ~ this is a brand new Hopewell community.  Just north of the Fairways on HWY 567.  Single family homes and mixed density similar to Sagewood.  Building is well underway, with a great selection of home styles to chose from.  Some water lots will be available in the future phases.  Traffic volume has picked up due to only one entrance - hopefully another access point will open up for these dear folks living here. 


Sagewood ~ is brand new developed by Hopewell.  Its focused on affordable living that is fun and fresh.  Sagewood will be home to over 800 families on 126 acres of beautifully situated land in Airdrie's southwest.  There are starter homes start now at $300,000.00   The Last Phase is almost done with only a few homes left for the buying. 


Stonegate ~ is also north of Highway #567 and is right next door to Silvercreek.  Stonegate features over 450 homes wiht two condo developments.  A new community in the last four years, the last phase is done.  There is also a semi-detached neighborhood, that offers a great location to all amenities. 

Silver Creek ~ is a mix of single-family and multi-family dwellings north of Highway #567 that is completed.  Bordered by the railway and 8th street, Silver Creek is full of young families.  Nice to community to raise a family and walking distance to a convenience store. 

Summerhill ~ is a community of 1590 residents in 542 homes that is located directly south of Nose Creek Park and Main Street winds around its west boundary.  Summerhill residents enjoy easy access to walking paths, the fountains in Nose Creek out their back doors and walking distance to schools, churches, and Co-op Shopping Centre. 

Thorburn ~ is a community that has grown in leaps and bounds beginning back in the 80's and by the end of 2007 there will be 1030 single-family homes.  New lots are extra-wide, with or without rear lanes.  All homes require attached garages and are situated on streets with low traffice volumes.  Thorburn enjoys walking distance to schools, and our new recreational centre.  Many walking pathways weave the way through Thorburn.  WE are waiting for the release of the last phase of this community.  Phase 14 has lots that back onto a farmers field, and have a minimum size of 42 feet wide.  Now available ~ prices start at $124,900 and up.  Maximum lot size is 60' Whoa!!

Williamstown ~ a Brand new community springing up beside Reunion and next to Silver Creek on the west side of Airdrie.  Another Vesta Properties Project with up to 1100 homes.  Multi-family and Single Family.  I had the Big Wigs through my show home, from B.C. didn't say too much but suggested they are a volume builder.  (lots of houses coming our way)


Willowbrook ~ is a recent development with just over 300 homes, a mix of single-family dwellings and condos.  Nose Creek runs throught the east end on the community and residents are close to bike paths and shopping.  The new apartment -Crown Shores condominiums are underway. 


Waterstone ~ is a small community of 140 single-family homes mostly in a cul-de-sac formation allowing for generous lot sizes.  Many of the homes are walk-outs that back onto the Nose Creek green space that feature fountains in the summer and skating in the winter.  Very popular with families. 

Woodside ~ has some of the best golf couse real estate available thanks to the 18-hole Woodside Golf Course that winds through the community.
Homeowners enjoy plenty of green space, walking distance to schools and nearby shopping.  There is also a large 50+ comminty within Woodside.  (note the estate areas homes are well over $495,000 range to $1 million)
