Airdrie Meadows ~ located between the downtown shopping zone and the Edmonton Trail area. There are single family homes and numerous townhouses. The community features tree lined streets with older homes. Close to schools and recreation - ice rinks, and community clubs. Bayside ~ Now into its 5th year of development. Canals themed community with some homes featuring private docks. (paddle your way here) New project in the area includes townhouse and apartment style living. Another nice feature to this community is Nosecreek Elementary. (this area also features an outdoor skating rink) New Apartments are for sale in the area, starting at $185K with an underground parking space. Square footage from 732 to 1372 units are available.
Big Springs~ East side of Airdrie where you'll find homes built from homes 25 years old. Also our local mobile home park, with mature trees and easy access to city amenities is found here. The great appeal to this area is the walking paths and access to our Genesis Center (East Lake Recreational Center).
The Canals ~ A canal system runs through this community. Close to schools and pathways. Single homes to mixed density homes are found throughtout this community. This area continues to grow for a while longer. The pathways that run through this area make it very popular. Channelside ~ Single family homes are found in this new community with homes well over $450,000 offering back lanes and a neat opportunity to have a separate garage with additional living space above. Allowing for rental property or a second title ownership. This type of property price range is well over $550,000.00 range. (prices will vary)
Coopers Crossing ~ is in the south part of Airdrie. A well planned linear park system throughout this community sets the lifestyle most desired by families. The new estate area features homes with triple garages and executive curb appeal. Estate Homes - Million Dollar homes with high end archetecturals make for greatAppeal and a lovely Sunday drive. No old broken down cars found here.
Downtown ~ the main of the area of this community is commercial. There is a very small number of homes in the area. Some Re-Zoning happening right now, with hope that the restrictions on what type of business can be here. (Check with the city of Airdrie for details)
Edgewater ~ a subdivision located between main street and Highway #2 just south of our downtown. Many residents here enjoy the walking distance to Nose Creek Park. You will also find two schools in this area. You can take the skywalk over to the East side from this communtiy. There are 678 homes in Edgewater.
The Fairways ~ is located on the northwest edge of the city and borders the Woodside Golf course. Many of the homes back onto the golf course. There is a few streets that boast high end bunglaows. There are just over 335 homes in the area with two very small condo complexes. The Fairways is close to two schools, the Monklands Soccer Park and Bethany Care Center. Single Family Homes run in the low $400K and up. Wider Streets with a central play park for the little ones. *I use to sit in a showhome in this community, and know it very well.
Jensen ~ is another well established area north of the downtown and east of Main Street. There are only 220 homes in the community and plenty of mature trees. Residents enjoy close proximity out the tri-school area and the Town and Country Centre (T & C). As our city grows the location to downtown makes this area very popular for families. Homes start at $275K range and up
King's Heights ~ Single Family and Mixed Density homes with commercial areas on the outskirts of the community. Found on the east side of Airdrie. The next phase is under way. This community has been very popular. Walk-out lots, back lanes, prices will range from the mid $300K and up. Show Home Row offers builders for any budget and style of home. Luxstone ~ is a community nearing final stages of development. Nestled around a carefully landscaped nature parks with walking trails, water pond, soccer field and a playground. When completed, Luxstone, with have both single and townhomes. New townhomes are selling for over $300,000.00 and detached homes over over $350,000.00 - A seniors project is now available in the area. MacKenzie Pointe ~ is a condo development featuring apartments style condos and town homes. (sometime refered to as Pointe of View) This area offers convenience and easy lifestyle. This development will be steps from a grocery store. More details on this to come on the shopping nearby. Morningside ~this area is found just east of Cooper's Crossing connected by turning left as you enter the community. Homes here range from 1200 square feet to over 2400 square feet. Walking paths and linear parks intertwine throughtout this community. Various local and Calgary builders can be found here offering a wide selection of home styles. This is one of our newer communities. Old Towne ~ is directly north of downtown. An older more established part of the city. Close to shopping and schools and bike paths. Homes are generally smaller in square footage. Prices are reflective in value due to the lot sizes (BIG lots.)* some inner city lots do come up for sale from time to time. Prairie Springs ~ West of Cooper's Crossing near the new Rockyview School Division Building you will find Prairie Springs. Good Quality builders with Great Floorplans to please anyone. Prices start in the low $330K and up. Great value, with a large central gathering park area for children. Ravenswood ~ Brand New Community just on the east side of town beside King's Heights. This area is so new. **the Developer has invited their own builders to enter the show home parade with only ONE local Airdrie builder. Homes are NOW available, at great prices. Prices started for single family home at $239K and up. Prices currently sit around $285K for a bigger home with a bigger lot. Reunion ~ Hopewell community. Just north of the Fairways on HWY 567. Single family homes and mixed density similar to Sagewood. Building is well underway, with a great selection of home styles to choose from. Some water lots will be available in the future phases. A church is now being built in the area, with a future seniors project. Hopewell makes a terrific family structured community
Ridgegate ~ An established family community. This neighborhood enjoys the Nose Creek winding through it and many homes backing onto the park. Great location to watch the "Canada Day" fireworks!! (Enjoy Festival of Lights at Christmastime) Okay these folks have bragging rights to the best seats in Airdrie for our festivals.
Sagewood ~ is the first development by Hopewell in Airdrie. Its focused on affordable living that focuses on family. Sittting on 126 acres in the southwest part of Airdrie. The Last Phase is almost finished with just a few homes left for sale. I have sold many homes in this community, and hear nothing but great things from my clients about the area. Stonegate ~ is also north of Highway #567 and is next to Silvercreek. Stonegate features over 520 homes with two townhouse complexes. There is also a semi-detached neighborhood, that offers a great location to all amenities. Stonegate is a well rounded family community. A new strip mall is coming to the area. (Starbucks, Quizno's, Brewsters to name just a few.)
Silver Creek ~ is a mix of single-family and multi-family homes north of Highway #567 that is completly finished . Bordered by the train tracks and 8th street, Silver Creek is full of young families. Nice to community to raise a family and walking distance to a convenience store and great local restaurants. (beside Williamstown) * strip mall nearby - great restaurants, etc.
Summerhill ~ is a community 505 homes that is located directly south of Nose Creek Park and Main Street. Summerhill residents enjoy easy access to walking paths, the fountains in Nose Creek out their back doors and walking distance to schools, churches, and Co-op Shopping Centre. (Qunicy Marie's - a nice local restaurant is found in this community)
The Springs ~ is area is adjacent to Big Springs. Homes built in the early 90's that offer close proximity to shopping. Soccer fields prevail in the area. Close to schools.
Thorburn ~ is a community that started in the 1980's and has grown into a very nice place to live. New lots are extra-wide, with or without rear lanes. Many homes situated well maintained wider streets. Enjoy walking distances to schools, and our recreational centre. Many walking pathways weave there way through Thorburn. A huge feature is East Lake, a water feature that beckons you. I have several clients living in the area, and just love it. It's the East vs West - you decide. Williamstown ~ a Brand new community springing up beside Reunion and next to Silver Creek on the west side of Airdrie. Another Vesta Properties Project with up to 1100 homes. Multi-family and Single Family. Vesta Properties mentioned this area will have a natural reserve for enjoyment - I'm sure this will be a peaceful place for many to reflect. Townhouses start at $209,900 Willowbrook ~ this area offers a mix of single-family dwellings and townhouses. Nose Creek runs through the east end on the community and residents are close to bike paths and shopping. The new apartment condos-Crown Shores condominiums sits adjacent to the creek.
Waterstone ~ is a small community of 190 single-family homes mostly in a cul-de-sac style allowing for bigger lot sizes. Some homes offer walk-outs that back onto greenspace. A super feature are the fountains in the summer and skating in the winter, all on Nose Creek that sits behind many of the homes in the area. A popular family recreation spot! Close to local stores, shops and restaurants.
Woodside ~ Prime Real Estate Anyone? Thanks to the 18-hole Woodside Golf Course that meanders through the community. Homeowners enjoy plenty of green space, walking distance to schools and nearby shopping. The local Woodside Clubhouse is set for expansion. Great for Sunday Bruches and more. There is also a large 50+ community within Woodside. Another great neighborhood to drive through and see some million dollar homes.
